Send up to 10 free Last Post emails immediately after death. Emails can be up to 2,000 words. You create, edit and store these in your account.
If you would like to attach photographs, videos, or other media, upload them to a file sharing site and include the login and password details in your Last Post email. |

Send a LetterThere are 3 types of Last Post letter; Poppy, Lily, and Orchid.
Poppy letters are sent immediately after death, Lily letters are sent at a fixed time after and Orchid letters sent at any time after.

Your LetterWrite as much or as little as you like. You can enclose photos, postcards, or any printed material.
Envelopes must be A4 (229mm x 324mm) or smaller in size and contents must be flat and flexible.
Please do not enclose money or anything valuable.
Two backup options are available. You can either scan your letter and upload a PDF or type it as text in your account.

Posting
Each letter is allocated a unique Letter Reference Number. Put your letter in a sealed blank envelope and write your Letter Reference Number on the back. Mail this inside a second envelope to Last Post, London, WC1N 3XX, UK.
You can check when it has been received by monitoring the status of your letter in your account. |

HousekeepingFile your membership certificate with your will or personal affects, this contains notification instructions for whoever deals with your affairs after death.
Keep your details and the details of whoever you are sending a letter or email to up-to-date.
Back up your letters by PDF upload or typed text copy. This will help you keep track of what you wrote and safeguard your Last Post in the unlikely event that it gets lost in the post.
